North of Hollywood Feature Film Currently streaming on Tubi and LouisJonesStudios.com North of Hollywood is a grounded, character-driven feature that pulls back the curtain on the realities of chasing success just outside the gates of fame. Following ambitious creatives navigating love, survival, identity, and sacrifice, the film explores what happens when the dream of Hollywood collides with financial pressure, broken promises, and the emotional cost of staying the course. Gritty, intimate, and unfiltered, North of Hollywood captures the truth of life on the margins of the industry—where talent is abundant, opportunity is scarce, and resilience becomes the only currency that matters.
Guardians of the Sunstone Animated Short Film In a world where ancestral magic fuels the gifts of every child, a sacred Sunstone becomes the target of dark forces determined to drain its power. When the stone is threatened, two Black Indigenous twin brothers rise as the final guardians of their people’s future. Blending mythology, Afrofuturism, and Indigenous storytelling, Guardians of the Sunstone is an epic animated tale of unity, legacy, and the responsibility of protecting cultural power for generations to come.
The Lady and the Mysterious Clock Live-Action Short Film / Fantasy When a curious woman encounters an antique clock with the power to manipulate time, she is drawn into a journey that forces her to confront past choices, missed moments, and unresolved regrets. The Lady and the Mysterious Clock weaves fantasy and introspection into a poetic narrative about time, consequence, and the human desire to rewrite what once was—revealing that some moments are meant to be understood, not undone.
Lost in Grief Live-Action Short Film Lost in Grief follows a father struggling to support his daughter after the loss of a loved one—only to realize that his own unresolved pain is quietly driving a wedge between them. As his attempts to protect her begin to cause emotional distance, he is forced to confront the grief he has buried for years. The film is a tender exploration of mourning, masculinity, and the difficult truth that healing others often requires first healing ourselves.
Love Illusions Live-Action Short Film Love Illusions is a surreal, emotionally charged meditation on intimacy, fantasy, and self-deception. As two individuals navigate a connection shaped by projection rather than truth, the film blurs the line between reality and desire—asking whether love is something we truly experience or something we imagine into existence. Dreamlike and reflective, Love Illusions explores how unhealed wounds distort connection and how clarity often arrives only after illusion fades.
Homecoming Oscar®-Qualifying Live-Action Short Film Homecoming is a deeply moving portrait of truth, identity, and the cost of being seen. The film follows a young man who returns home changed—no longer willing or able to hide who he is. As he comes out to his family, he is met with love from some and painful resistance from a father unable to accept him, forcing a reckoning that exposes the fragile boundaries between tradition, fear, and unconditional love. Grounded in urgency and emotional honesty, Homecoming confronts sexuality, gender identity, family conflict, and acceptance while bearing witness to the very real violence faced by LGBTQ+ people in the U.S. and around the world. The film reflects the conversations unfolding in homes and communities today—and honors the courage it takes to live openly, even when safety, belonging, and love are not guaranteed.
Short Lives, Long Lessons Live-Action Short Film Short Lives, Long Lessons follows four friends who reunite for lunch in the wake of a devastating loss—the sudden passing of a close friend taken far too young. What begins as casual conversation slowly transforms into an intimate reckoning with grief, regret, and the fragile reality of their own mortality. As memories surface and emotions spill over, each friend is forced to confront the question of how they are truly living—and what they may be taking for granted. Moved by the realization that old age is never guaranteed, the friends make a pact to stay connected, honor the life that was lost, and live with greater intention. Tender, reflective, and deeply human, Short Lives, Long Lessons is a reminder that life’s brevity carries responsibility—and that love, presence, and purpose are choices we must make while we still can.
Justified Oscar®-Qualifying Live-Action Short Film Justified follows a young Black man whose life is upended after a seemingly minor dispute with his neighbor escalates into a deadly confrontation. As he fights to prove his innocence, he is forced to navigate a justice system riddled with bias, hidden agendas, and unsettling truths—where justice is promised, but rarely delivered equally. What begins as a fight for freedom becomes a haunting exploration of power, perception, and the devastating cost of being presumed guilty in a system designed to convict before it listens.
ManHOOD Live-Action Short Film ManHOOD is an intimate exploration of masculinity, vulnerability, and emotional inheritance. Following a group of men grappling with grief, fatherhood, accountability, and unspoken trauma, the film unfolds through raw conversation and quiet moments of reflection. As traditional expectations of manhood collide with emotional truth, ManHOOD challenges the idea that strength is silence—revealing how healing begins when men finally give themselves permission to feel, speak, and be seen.
